Billionaire Boss, Undercover Affair | Kyra Radcliff | Book Review
Billionaire Boss, Undercover Affair by Kyra Radcliff is a contemporary romance novel set amidst corporate rivalry. This heady new-age romance tale has the whirlwind of emotions, intoxicating intimacy, and a tad bit of sensitivity.
The story majorly centers around the billionaire boss Miles and his new employee, Susan. Miles is a womanizer, a man notorious for faking it all, and quick to take women in his arms. On the other hand, Susan is an ambitious yet fragile lady who happens to fall in love with the handsome hunk of a boss. However, she resists admitting her feelings because she does not want to come off as vulnerable. Will the two come together?
Despite the cliche romance setting, I liked the book for its writing. It is crisp, to the point, and indulging. And although none of the characters appealed to me for so many loopholes in their character description, they did drive the narrative well. I liked how the author has a firm hold on the characters. Each intricacy of their being to the way they contribute to the story, everything gels well with the central plotline. However, the verbal exchanges of the characters were again forced and their course of action way too unrealistic and illogical at certain places. Between all the mushy and hesitant romance, I enjoyed the differing business competencies of the two rivals — Dunlap and Miles.
If you are into typical romance and want to read something light but intimate, you might go ahead with this. Bot the story and the writing would not disappoint you.
